That was one of the least enjoyable Packer games I've ever had the pleasure of repressing. All penalties, turnovers and almost-turnovers, failed 3rd and 4th downs, offensive incontinence. Maybe someone somewhere found some sick defensive pleasure in the rubble, but all I saw was waste.

  1. Hah. Despite the result (which could've gone either way) I loved the game. Close to an ideal football game. The Packers had staled a bit since the emotional peak of the Rodgers reunion. But then seeing Parsons breathing cold Lambeau air in a defensive struggle brought me back. The result also feels true to these teams' identities. The Packers just seem to lack that last ounce of IQ to execute in high variance situations. The Eagles play conservatively, making just enough plays, not really slipping up. A repeat of the playoff game. Both teams similar in terms of talent. Lunch pail QB beats the Ferrari.

    1. I guess I'm a basic bitch in preferring effective offense. I mean I think I could appreciate a fierce defensive battle in which the offenses are overpowered, but this felt like ineffective offense, not just effective defense

    2. I think there's some truth to that. LaFleur's playcalling has seemed off this year. Today was much better.
